“I have always been amazed how prestigious artists like David Hockney, Jenny Holzer, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, and Andy Warhol brought their artistic ability and passion for painting to the world of racing. After many years of studio art classes, programs, and degrees, I decided it was going to happen … in my mind it had to happen!
I planned and sketched out different designs, then finally I got out my acrylic paint tubes and brushes, mixed the colors I wanted, and put the brush to the car and left all fear behind without looking back. To this day, the project reminds me how cars are meant to be fun, enjoyable machines.”
These are the words and actions of Cedric Hope of Silver Spring, Maryland. Hope is a graphic designer by day and a studio artist and gearhead by night. Hope has also always been a gamer. What he learned in playing Forza Motorsport racing games opened creative doors for him.
“Forza gave me the ability to turn my design sketches into realistic liveries with endless possibilities, a crisp finish, with realistic cars. Forza has opened my eyes to automotive photography, tuning, designing, and so much more,” he said.
