European auto tuner Hamann creates a Koons art car look-alike
November 2, 2012 – As reported by Motor Trend:
Hamann has revealed its colorful McLaren MP4-12C-based Hamann memoR, and no, it’s not heading to the 2012 SEMA show. The European tuner, says the impossible-to-ignore McLaren will make other brightly painted supercars fade into the background while transforming “ugly streets into palatial catwalks.”
Underneath the wild multi-colored paint job is a body kit that borrows styling elements from the original McLaren F1 supercar. Up front, Hamann used carbon fiber for many of the pieces including mudguards, air outlets, and front apron replacement pieces. A carbon fiber front spoiler and LED daytime running lights are also new. The memoR also gains larger side inlets and a carbon fiber hood, side sills, and rear wing.
